This is course aimed at those working with 5-11 year old players, who want to further their knowledge and understanding. The course encompasses a variety of theoretical and practical tasks around the learning processes involved when coaching 5-11 year old players.
Who can attend the training course?
- Have completed your L1ACF qualification,
- Have up to date Safeguarding Children & Emergency Aid qualifications,
- Have an FA CRC (CRB) check
- Be a member of FA Licensed Coaches Club is required as a pre-course requisite.

By introducing some of the different skills that can be used when actively listening this course aims to improve listening abilities.
By the end of this interactive session, participants will :
· Have discussed what “listening” is
· Understand what skills are required for effective listening
· Have discussed the blocks to effective listening
· Understand the difference between listening and active listening
· Have practiced developing appropriate responses
· Have information on a listening model

We are looking to recruit a new generation of referees at all age levels and we are looking for ex-players, spectators and young personnel who want to give it a go. We are also looking for 14, 15 and 16 year olds to cover school games and personnel to qualify and cover youth games, mini-mod and thirteen aside. Barrow and District are looking to help anyone with the ambition to will assist them to develop themselves!

The course is designed to help you recognise the difficulties someone is experiencing and give you the knowledge/skills to help people (or give instructions to someone else) until the emergency services arrive.
Spending 2 hours of your life will give you the skills to try to save another person’s life it could be a family member or someone you know
Skills you will learn include:
General care of a casualty including the procedure for obtaining help
Dealing with an unconscious person
Giving rescue breaths
Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Dealing with choking
Dealing with serious bleeding
Dealing with a suspected heart attack casualty
