Barrow Island RLFC   £2000    - Awarded November 2011
The club has just received £50K funding from Sport England for pitch upgrade, the Sports Council grant would go towards that work.  The Club itself have also put £3000 towards the costs and are fund raising for another £1000.

Dunnerholme Golf Club   £600  -  Awarded November 2011 
1 hour weekly Golf Coaching for 24 juniors with PGA professional Paul Rawlinson.  This cost will be for 20 sessions. With the support of the Cumbria Golf Development group, Paul is going to be also going into local schools providing free ‘taster sessions’.
Dunnerhome is currently working towards Golfmark accreditation. 

Barrow Table Tennis Club  £840    -  Awarded November 2011
To purchase two table tennis tables to be used by the National Junior Team and National Cadet team for coaching and training. One of these teams being Under 12’s girls. 
Barrow Table Tennis Centre is one of Sports Council’s priority facilities.
